This conference is open to women and girls only.
"Saving Our Sisters" is a dynamic one-day conference in acknowledgment of "National Women & Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. The conference is open to adult women and girls age 12 years and above from all backgrounds.
The day includes age appropriate workshops with discussions on the importance of a positive self-image, self-worth, empowerment, healthy relationships, HIV prevention and the importance of medical treatment for women and girls that are living with HIV.
Conference Host: Beautiful Gate Outreach Center
Beautiful Gate Outreach Center (BGOC) is an HIV/AIDS service organization contracted with the State of Delaware to provide HIV prevention counseling, testing, referral and supportive services for those living with HIV. All services provided by BGOC are free and confidential.
BGOC is the only organization in Delaware that has an active support group that is solely for women living with HIV. BGOC has been recognized by the Centers for Disease Control, the State of Delaware and the City of Wilmington for the work it does to fight HIV and AIDS.
